Does the usual bodybuilding diet put strain on organs (kidneys etc), considering the inordinate amounts of food consumed especially meat and dairy that is consumed besides the supplements?
And how do the hormones or supplements being fed to the animals to enable them grow faster affect the human body?
Strain of kidneys - yes if you already have pre existing kidney disease.Strain on hormones - yes, if you are not consuming enough fats in your diet or dropping to competition ready body fat levels for extended periods of time.
Otherwise, not really.
1)Explain “bodybuilding diet” I do not believe there is a singular diet
2)No one really knows..

My advice would be to look up Ric Drasin on youtube. He is part of the old school Golden Era body building scene. One of his videos does a really good job at explaining the diet they were on at that time.
Protein and fats was their diet with one cheat day..
I’ve been on a mostly proten/fat diet for the past 3 weeks now. I feel good! Have energy, muscles grow like crazy and I shedded 6 pounds so I’m more defined.
A really important question is the sourcing of the massive amount of protein. Is the body builder wolfing down cans of albacore tuna high in mercury? Or chunk lite tuna that is lower? What other kinds of fish are they eating that might be high in heavy metals? Is it grain fed beef? Or grass fed and grass finished beef? How does that effect the omega three to omega six ratios and inflammation?
I mean… depends. If you’re meaning the “traditional body building diet” of just chicken, rice and garbage processed protein powders and low quality supplements, yes… it’s unhealthy. Probably not so much kidney stress. Nothing to do with the meat and dairy per say, so much as quality. Meat and dairy are healthy foods, nutrient dense. But when you’re eating low quality stuff, not so much.
If you’re hyper focused on American standards of animal welfare then I suppose, yes the hormones, inflammatory conditions, etc and treatment of animals is A problem. But in other countries? Not really.
