Sorry but your really not gonna feel okay untill after the 2-3 day. Because your going from eating somewhat normal, to not at all, it’s a pretty big change for your body. Unless you’ve fasted in the past or done a carb restricting diet, you will probably have a very hard time mentally getting past the first couple days. But once you do, you’ll feel bliss. I urge you to try it again, look I to the keto flu, and also, salts and electrolytes won’t save you all the time from the side effects in the beginning. They definitely help in the late game, but I think early on, it’s always a pain (at least for me)
Sorry you didn’t make it you were so close to a breakthrough. Keep trying. Some people don’t make it through SEAL training the first time or into space on the first countdown but they try again and succeed. Pain suffering lack of sleep etc. is the price we pay on our path to success.
When i started 48 hour fasts, i was the same way.
The first night on the day of no eating i was wide awake and full of energy. It was like my body had no idea how to burn fat and was overburning for energy or over producing something. I think it was the fact i had never ever gone more than 30 hours without eating in my entire life. I had a terrible sleep.
By the 2nd and 3rd week (i did every sunday to tuesday for 2 months.) i was sleeping completely fine, the body adapts very quickly.
Just thought id share if you ever had wanted to take another shot, it does get easier.
