Ending a 187 hour fast today, unfortunately😭 Have a plan of refeeding, any advice on it?

Gonna start with a spoonful of olive oil as ive seen that suggested alot then an hour later some greek yogurt and some fermented veg such as pickled onions/olives/beetroot then for dinner I’m gonna have some steamed broccoli, carrots and some spinach with some bone broth I prepared yesterday. Similar foods the next day just with a korean cucumber style salad and incorporating chicken with dinner and see how I and my stomach feels after that. Any more suggestions/advice? First time breaking a fast like this.

Basically an 8 day fast? I’d honestly stay away from olive oil right away since I don’t think you need it, you’re already working off of fat stores so sure it may technically break your fast, but you’ll likely just have a nice greasy BM afterwards.

I always prefer starting with something like vegetable or chicken broth or stock. Home made if possible but a quality stock will do you wonders. I’d also say maybe stay away from fermented foods the first day or two. Ideally, breaking your fast should take about 3 days before turning to normal food. I would stay away from a Korean cucumber salad since it “may” have things like soy or chili flake or some processed oils in it.

Not trying to shit on your plan by any means, I think maybe shifting everything down a day would be more beneficial and starting with something more basic would make your tummy feel a bit better.

Broth and maybe a few berries the first day is my recommendation.

For longer fasts (say 10 days+) I have found that ONLY doing broth the entire first day makes the rest of it easier.

The olive oil sounds like a bad idea to me. I always break extended fasts with 1 cup of bone broth, wait an hour or two, then another cup of bone broth, more waiting, then try more substantive things in small quantities. Like 50g yogurt or 2 eggs, etc. I do like the fermented veg, I do kimchi, sauerkraut, yogurt, kefir, etc
