Answer

Just don’t eat breakfast. You don’t need breakfast. Food’s not going to make you more alert. It activates your digestive system which requires energy. If you want to be more alert in the morning, consume caffeine.

Answer

I make a vegetable and fruit smoothie almost identical to dr rhonda Patrick’s micronutrient smoothie. I have it with some eggs 🍳. I switched to this because I found having a bready breakfast was making me sluggish and it solved the issue.

Other than that just check your sleep habits and whether you’re getting adequate nutrients though your diet. Mental health can be a factor too for feeling low energy.

Answer

High fiber tortilla, 2 eggs, a slice of cheese, and hot sauce. I scramble one egg with a shake of extra spicy Mrs Dash and a little butter the other is hardboiled. The scrambled egg goes in the wrap with the cheese and hot sauce and the outside of the wrap gets seared in the same pan. Hard boiled egg on the side. I have that with a coffee flavored protein shake mixed with hot water. I boil the eggs once a week and the rest takes about 10 mins.

You’re going to need to test out different meal/macro combos to figure out what works best for your body. Definitely add some protein to that meal. How active are you throughout the day? How much do you eat the rest of the day? Is this your first meal, post workout?

Answer

Foods that contain complex carbs are more serotonergic, meaning you will feel more relaxed and less motivated after ingesting it. Some are more sensitive to this than others. I personally am wrecked by a carb rich breakfast or lunch.

So I eat eggs and a bit of cheese and veg, some meaty meal with salad or fruit or protein shake and fruit. And I have gotten used to not eating before 4-6 hours after waking time (although I am a bit conflicted on the pros and cons of my productivity vs my muscle retention/growth)

Answer

Try adding some additional protein, a boiled egg with your breakfast is a good option.

> About an hour after breakfast I’m getting like absurdly tired. And that mostly drags on until evening.

Fatigue is something you need to talk to your doctor about. If it was simply diet then you would be energized after lunch.

I have had the same problem for going on 5 years and have run out of specialists to see. The best explanation my PCP has is that its an ADHD symptom. In the course of diagnosing it they incidentally found a bunch of other stuff I hadn’t noticed/had attributed to aging that did improve quality of life.
