is it ok to exercise during a water fast - if so, what sort of exercise do you recommend?

I’ve done it. And I’m 72 years old. I have done some very intense body weight exercising, push-ups and pull-ups during my fasting.
I don’t see any kind of problem. Just make sure that you give yourself a chance to recover. People don’t realize that it is the recovery that is most beneficial.
