Exercise timing?

I’m doing mostly 18:6 and I’m finding that if I exercise towards the end of my fast, I have less energy and don’t get as much out of my workout (mostly running, some HIIT) than I do when I exercise during my eating window. But I’ve been told it’s better to exercise during fasting and it will have a greater impact on weight loss?

Answer

Honestly, the greatest impact on weight loss is a consistent workout schedule and even more importantly eating right. Fasted workouts don’t somehow burn extra calories or anything to a meaningful extent. The majority of weight loss is deficits from just our metabolisms.

My advice is always keep it simple, just workout when you have the time and energy to so it becomes a routine.
