Exercise to start a fast?

I do IF but am planning to start doing 36hours plus.

Is there any benefit to doing cardio to start a fast, or will expending my energy maker it harder to stick to but without the benefits?

I can easily fast 20 hours with cardio in the middle. But when I do weight training I find it impossible to fast as my appetite goes nuts.

Edit, I am already in ketosis. I’ve been low carb for 5 months.

Answer

Yes it will speed up the whole digestive process . It doesn’t make a huge difference but it’s good way to start shorter fasts. You can also use exercise to kick off ketosis. There are articles about this. I try to take a walk after dinner every evening.

Answer

Excercise is a powerful tool to kickstart ketosis and deepen autophagy. I excercise every day of my fast. I look forward to a hike on day 3! I usually have so much energy. Your body loves ketones and excercise helps your body make tons of them.
