I work out towards the end of my rolling 48s, you’ll be fine and fasting increases HGH levels so maybe you’ll see even better gains 🤷♂️
Get used to the 36s first, make sure your body is fat adapted, gets lots of water in, and try to time it so you can eat within 5 hours of your workout.
Depends on your metabolism and current glycogen reserve levels to be honest. But if you’re fasting working out has a muscle preservation effect over & above just sitting around. So whatever you lose from fasting, it’ll be less by virtue of working out, not more.
The big thing is just energy - if you’re not used to fasting for long periods, or have no glycogen in reserve you’ll probably get pooped quick, which will hamper your performance, so that’s worth accounting for
The best time for me to go to the gym is early in the morning, but I cannot wake up and eat something in the morning, I need to wait at least one hour after wake up before having breakfast otherwise I feel sick. It happens since I can remember.
On the other hand, I already have issues in the gym heavy lifting in the morning without eat, once I really passed out and needed help. So gym only in the end of the day and it mess up my sleep.
One day I visit a nutricionist specialized in paleo diet. It was the only time I visit one.
I explained about the gym in the morning and he suggested I take a glass of water with a pinch of salt. Really a little.
The magic was done! First day I went easy to check, second day a little harder and third day and so on I was lifting at 5h30 pm no issue and increasing the weight.
The explanation he gave me was that the issue was not glucose but the lack of sodium that made me feel sick.
It is worth a try, but it is REALLY a pinch and start slowly with the weight.
