Experience with low blood sugar?

Hello everyone,

I’m 26, 5’11, 211lbs. Work out everyday, zero medical issues.

I’ve been working for 5 years, lifting and cardio. I’ve decided to do OMAD (one meal a day) for a month now. Diet mostly consists of 4 eggs, 4 sausage links, chorizo, and cheese: comes out to be 80g protein, 5g carbs, and 100grams of fat which is 900 calories.

Today I did a blood prick, my blood sugar level came out to be 75. There are no genetic traits in my family of diabetes.

What gives?

The question is not what is NORMAL in a population based on a range of metabolically sick people. The question really is, what is YOUR normal & how do you feel? Finger sticks are accurate to within 20% & can be even further off. A one time finger stick is next to useless. What are your historic labs? What is your a1c? A value of 75 would be hypoglycemic for many people, it also could be indicative of metabolic health, but again what is your history & a CGM would be much more helpful if you wanted to track highs & lows, for all you know it dives during sleep. Right now your picture is low information. Many medical conditions can cause hypoglycemia besides medications. I think you need to consider the larger picture. Speaking of SHAME. Shame on people who use any value of blood glucose to diagnose health be it good health or otherwise. People can have glucose in the low “healthy” range & have medical problems with their liver for example. No one is necessarily in great shape based on a glucose number alone, especially a finger stick.
