Fasting and full-time work

Hi! A question to those of you who manage to fast for 3+ days while working full-time - how do you do that? I mean, I can’t imagine having enough energy to focus on work and maintain the same productivity throughout the day. I’ve tried 24 hour fast once and would love to continue (and try longer ones), but I’m worried it may deprive me of energy needed to get the job done.

Answer

For me personally, fasting was way easier when working… I’m a homemaker now and the fasting hours go by much more slowly, not to mention being surrounded by food 😬 I had/have enough fat to lose that losing energy wasn’t an issue.

Answer

I did a 40 hour fast (would of went longer, but I was lacking electrolytes) and I run a restaurant, around food 12 plus hours a day. Even being around that temptation, if your mindset is set on a goal, imo, its a bit easier to accomplish it. Also, I think fasting is a bit easier, when your working, then just being at home relaxing.

I always fasted even at work. Either water fasting or OMAD, and felt good to be honest. And you can always get some black coffee or tea to get you an energy boost.

The only tip i can give you is to not tell others what you’re doing. Nobody understands it and it’s really annoying.

Answer

I’m busy enough that I just use all my focus on work tasks. Totally forget food exists so I miss all the hunger pangs. I also drink “broth” and tea. I only work 3 days a week, 12hr shifts, so it’s a hassle to bring food for all day all the time.

Answer

I feel better when fasting at work than when I’m eating. So at minimum on a work day I’m getting to the end of my work day with no breakfast or lunch. Then when I get home either it’s a day where I eat or it isn’t, but it’s pretty easy to do whichever one I’m slated for. Day one is the hardest tho if I’m starting an extended fast. Once I make the decision I drink a big jar of water (I drink quart mason jars) to get full and forget about any hunger. When I wake up I’m usually already fast buzzed and fan then seemingly go as long as I want. Max is 5 days for me.
