Will losing weight with fasting help my health? I know it’s a dumb question but I’m 21m am 193 and have high blood pressure but I think it’s because I’m technically obese and I’m only saying that because my BMI is over 30. I have bad health anxiety I think my health will be normal if I can go back down to 160 like before?
Not a dumb question at all!! I’m no doctor or scientist, but according to what I’ve learned/read/expereinced about fasting over the last year+, absolutely yes it can help you!
Go through the Wiki to get started on learning what intermittent fasting is. Youtube is also a great resource. Look for Dr Jason Fung. This sub and r/fasting are great as well.
Do lots of reading, then dive in slowly… maybe just start skipping breakfast a few days per week and go from there. Give your body and mind time to adust. For most people its A LOT easier than you think before you try it.
Good luck!
