Out of curiosity has anyone seen any results from fasting and building muscle? I have used fasting in the past but now I am on a path for gaining muscle.

I cycle thru cutting, bulking & maintenance phases all while fasting. When maintaining or cutting i do 20:4-OMAD.When bulking I do 16:8-18:6 to help be in a calorie surplus & I’ve been happy with my muscle gains.I do this because I value the many other benefits from fasting.

Nothing says you can’t build muscle while fasting but you are largely going against the tide when you take that route. Insulin may be bad for your waistline but it’s important for gains.

If you want to fast, maybe do it like once a week as a way to keep your fat and apatite down.

Actually, while fasting your human growth hormone increases which can help building muscle however you have to take at least 1.2 g of prltein per 1kg of body weight and go to the gym like 3 to 4 times a week… I’ve been doing this with IF and I had lean muscle growth
