Fasting and sickness

Hi I have been 11-7 fasting for four weeks. I broke my fast a few days ago by eating late at night, then have continued drinking black coffee in the morning and doing excersise before 11 for the past two days and have had horrible stomach pains and diarrhea.

I can’t tell if it’s from excersing after coffee and not enough water? / Dehydration (I have been drinking water during workouts)

If I just have stomach flu?

Orr is it the fasting? Should I just stop fasting? (I’ve been really enjoying this pattern so it would be a shame)

My bet: It’s the coffee on an empty stomach.

Some people are fine with it, some people get diarrhea and intestinal cramping as the body tries to expel it as fast as possible.

Try a “cold brew” (low acid) coffee instead. And if that doesn’t solve the issue, don’t be afraid to delay your coffee until you can get some food with it.
