Fasting and sleeping advice needed.

So I have been fasting on and off my entire life as my preferred method of weight management.

And I always have the same issue. Sleeping.

My body adapts and I feel ok during the day, but at night, I am weird, I feel like I have a complete inability to sleep.

Obviously this is pretty bad for my weight loss progress.

Has anyone else had this issue, did they find a solution?

Answer

Look up Huberman Labs on youtube regarding sleep. I try to adhere to these things:

-look at the sun when I wake up for a few minutes and also throughout the day to set circadian clock.

-no screen time or bright lights after 10pm

-take an Apigenin supplement (I stopped taking melatonin due to the nightmares) apigenin gives me vivid dreams but not scary, screaming dreams like melatonin. Also magnesium supplement once in a while.

-soft music or boring podcast as I sleep.

Answer

Do all the “sleep hygiene” stuff and find some lavender oil , place a few drops around your bed - on a cotton pad, wipe it on a wooden headboard wherever. Helps with sleep and also bonus insect repellent.
