So, I’m currently fasting with covid. I didnt plan it as I was feeling fine Sunday when I started my fast. Monday I started feeling fatigued and feverish. Thus, I went to the doc on Tuesday. I only found out today that I had tested positive. Ive kept my fast the whole time apart from some bone broth on Tuesday. Overall, I dont feel too bad as Ive been taking vitamin c, d, magnesium, b12, and zinc.

I think you should be fine for some ADF. That said, Im not a doctor, so use your best judgement.

I’m in basically the same boat as you! Got sick with Covid on 12/24 and was hoping to start ADF right at the beginning of the New Year. I decided to give the illness 2 full weeks to run its course. I tried fasting a couple of days on days 11 / 12 after I got sick and had some symptoms come back. Yesterday was two full weeks from my first symptoms and I feel much better, so I’m attempting a 5 day fast to reset my immune system and get momentum going for ongoing ADF. Good luck - glad your case was mild.

Wow! I am glad I found this post. I tested positive for Covid on Tuesday and now, 5 days later, I can’t taste or smell anything. I recently quit smoking weed (1 month 22 days 16 hours), quit smoking cigarettes (19 days, 10 hrs), and had just started Keto/intermittent fasting (so gave up the carbs too damn it) a couple weeks ago and was doing awesome (down 8 lbs) and now I can’t freakin taste or smell.

The one freaking thing I have left to enjoy ***FOOD*** and I can’t even enjoy that now. I tried to eat one of my favorite meals tonight and couldn’t even taste it. I ended up taking a hot shower tonight and then decided I still have my eyesight and hearing so I went for a two hour drive blasting music the whole time crying my eyes out feeling sorry for myself.

I just got back and I was scrolling through here contemplating fasting because why not? The only sensory input I get now with food is the texture in my mouth, which isn’t satisfying at all. So, I figure I am going to fast until I can smell and taste again. Who freaking knows how long that will be. I’m not sure what the universe is trying to tell me, but I’m going to try to go with the flow. Enjoy the journey, right?
