Fasting effects on the brain

Hello everyone, I am just looking for a general discussion of positive fasting effects on the brain, personal anecdotes are welcomed. I have seen some people say it helped with their MS and Lyme and even brain fog. Does anybody else have stories of how fasting may have helped your brain-related issues? I am currently dealing with a strange brain issue. It’s kind of like these brain surges that feel like a mini seizure. Not sure how else to describe it. It is different from brain zaps from antidepressants, though. I had those decades ago so I know the difference. Still in the process of figuring out what it is but wanted to try some fasting in the meantime, the concept has fascinated me for a while.

Thank you!

With all due respect, please go to an actual professional and have this figured out before considering fasting. Don’t try to apply anecdotes of completely different people under completely different conditions to you just because one symptom sounds roughly similar, this can be a very dangerous mistake.

I honestly think that what you’ve said here is vague and potentially dangerous enough that it would be flat out irresponsible to give you any recommendation. Get an actual diagnosis and only then it makes sense to try to figure out whether or not fasting could help.
