So i read a lot about fasting and its benefits, i already do intermittent fasting (20-4) for months, and recently completed 2 day and 3 day (3and a half to be exact) fasts. Cant really say i see any benefits from either (fasting or intermittent fasting), but hey… “all” people say its beneficial so i hope it does something for me :-).
My question is, is there any chance that fasting can help also with “small to medium” ( simply - nothing that heavy) acne scars (like years/decade+ old), and wrinkles etc… in the face? Can it have even this powerful effect on the skin (face)…?
I read that it CAN have such effects , but its hard for me to believe…
If the answer is yes, how long of a fast we are talking here to see such benefits…? Im doubtful a simple 3day fast will do this job…? So how long of a fast? (5day, 7day, 9 day or even more…?) And how many fasts (quantity) (one wouldnt be succificient i assume)…?
Any research or - maybe even better - some personal or close friends/family results with this…? (skin issues like acne scars, wrinkles, or other general skin (face) issues)…?

The answer is yes. It helps. For mine it took about 30 days of intermittent fasting to see a difference. I was a skin picker and constantly caused myself scars that have begun to disappear. HOWEVER, since I have been fasting, I’ve also noticed I’m breaking out more. I used to break out after eating certain foods and I am guessing that as I’m burning fat some of that stuff is coming out again
Happy new year! I am current on day 5 of a water only fast and my skin noticeably less oily and I have less blackheads and acne. Just smoother and clearer skin overall. I’m going to credit the fast, as I haven’t done anything different in my hygiene routine in the last 5 days. Best of luck to you!
