If you want to work on your food addiction you need to eat; for you fasting for all the great benefits it imparts becomes just a distraction from the real issue.

But the great thing is that fating can give you the tools to work on your food addiction. Not because you don’t eat but because it gives you the tools to reassess your relationship with food. I had some horrible habits and didn’t think that in the long term I could incorporate fasting into my life, and yet I was wrong. I was able to give up my snacking, get rid of a lot of junk I was quite literally harming myself with, and still eat normal food I enjoy on a regular basis.

So yes, enjoy your fast, and look forward to eat and enjoy non ‘diet’ food. Alternate between fasting and they happiness that comes from properly nourishing your body.
