My weight is fine, I’m in the middle of healthy BMI.
I do have issues with being restless, anxiety, and compulsive snacking, which I hoped would be helped with less energy available. I’m not sure if it is good reasoning, but I often feel calm when I have the “empty” feeling.
My biggest problems are dealing with raging hunger. I can’t sleep and it often hurts. At least if I try to exercise at all. I can fast if I’m inactive. No teas, water, and light snacks help. Mostly water makes my stomach grumble like crazy. I wobble from it.
How do people fast and exercise? OMAD or 5/2?
Anyone else fast to feel calm?
I am new to fasting, so I don’t have a lot of experience, but one reason I’m implementing it is because I did a 24 hour fast and noticed how much less anxious, and more focused, I was during the final 8 hours so I definitely think there’s something there
My stress levels go down while fasting (according to my smartwatch), so I think it’s safe to say you’d have less anxiety while fasting. I don’t know if that helps when you aren’t fasting, but I think anything you do to get healthier helps.
