Fasting on a starch based diet?

Greetings fans of not eating!

I’ve been heavy into low carb/OMAD these past few years. I find it a very easy way to control my weight and have no real issues with it.

As an experiment, I’ve just embarked on a simple starch based regime which I intend to continue with for 30 days. I’m doing no oils, a lot of veggies. I partly wanted to try it as a way of retraining my tastebuds and I’m hoping to get close to an OMAD regime as I can, potentially skip a day or two completely along the way.

Has anyone tried this or similar? Am I being foolish?!

Thanks fasters!

Answer

Just to better help you a few questions. When you say starch based diet of veggies I am a bit confused. My diet is heavily plant based (with lean protein) and I don’t consider if heavy on starch. Are you eating a lot of starchy vegetables such as peas, corn and root vegetables? What do you eat for protein?
