You are all good. Diet is a big key on your fitness goals, but you can eat the next day and have the same effects in muscle/strength gains. The anabolic effects of your workout aren’t limited to only right after you workout. It’s much more important to get enough rest and enough sleep than it is to time your meals to immediately after your workout.
I’ve researched this topic, although I wasn’t weight lifting back then. Can’t point you to the specific research, but I’ve read that it’s actually better to exercise fasted and then break the fast after workout. I don’t know what your goals are, but this approach was recommended to promote muscle growth. Might be outdated by now, you probably know how quickly the science changes in this field.
Also, don’t you get hungry after workout? I usually work out ~3 hours after my meal, and if I don’t have coffee right after that, I’m ready to devour everything I have in my fridge)
