Fasting restores my blood to normal from neutropenia. What's going on?

I have mild chronic neutropenia of unknown origin. 1.01*10^9/l. I also have had chronic pharyngitis for over a year now.

When I was fasting last week (7-day fast), somewhen on the 5th day I went and did blood tests. All came back normal. Today I went and did the same tests - suddenly, it’s all bad again. How come?

Also, why is fasting not recommended for people who are sick? This is absolutely contradictory to my experience - I felt significantly better when fasting. Do I have some sort of food allergy?

Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Answer

Neutropenia means lowered neutrophils, not sure if allergy would reduce neutrophils, I would rather expected an increase (not sure though). In general fasting regulates the immune system, for instance my mild dust allergy symptoms are gone while fasting.
