This is a progress update in my crusade to build a simplified fasting science library - I've officially migrated all of [my analyzed brain studies](https://www.vesbium.com/studies/category/brain) (still haven't worked on graphics and summaries) and thought to share some interesting findings:
* There's been quite a bit of research into the role of autophagy and preventing Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and some into Huntington's and Dementia.
* 1 study noted effects in autophagy and [prevention of infectious disease](https://www.vesbium.com/studies/therapeutic-targeting-of-autophagy-in-neurodegenerative-and-infectious-diseases) but mechanisms were unknown
* Some of these studies were funded by drug companies - one by AstraZeneca (subsidiary), and one by Eli Lilly. It seems like they're trying to make a drug to mimic the effects of autophagy
Answer
I dove into this when my father was diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia two years ago, but I couldn’t find much research and definitely no conclusive answers.
I am very curious as to what you have found.
