Fasting to get rid of annoying cough

Hi All, I have been suffering from frequent sickness since last 6 months, I get fever/flu it goes away in 2-3 days but cough, the f***ing cough stays for 3-4 weeks, It is such horrible cough that my stomach aches, I m totally exhausted, my sleep is disturbed etc. considering that I have gotten this every 2 months, I m really really frustrated. I had flu again couple of days ago, the fever has gone and the cough has started on cue

I have decided to try fasting to fix this, I m on day 2 of soup/juice fast now, plan to do water only tomorrow and day after then again 2 days of soup/juice fast . Please help me keep this fast.

Today I m not at all hungry, but irritation boredom and feeling cold have started coming up. I m getting tempted to eat something just to sooth the irritation but I dont want to, I know this fast will really help pick my immune system up.

Putting that 48 hours on Zero brought on some panic ! but its ok, I can do this, I m absolutely not hungry and I m well prepared for the fast from last 2 days.

The long term benifits, mental clarity, resent immune system, weigh loss - everything makes it worth it.

Im not a medical expert but it MIGHT not be related to your cold or flu. It is possible that you have a condition caused by low stomach acid. if this is true, your cough will get worse for a few hours after a meal.

DR burg as a video specifically on this and indeed fasting is on cure, although it can come back again after you eat. The problem is the reduction in acidity of your stomach. Taking vinegar after a meal can help. Also avoiding heavily starching foods while sticking to those higher in protein, fiber and fat.
