Fasting to not binge and hopefully lose weight.

So I find it easier to not binge when I tell myself I shouldn’t be eating. So I have been waking up and drinking water, working out (full body workout and cycling), drinking more water. Then around 1100-1300 I will eat a meal only sometimes when I am really hungry, not always particularly for health nuts but I also don’t eat unhealthy food. Then around 1700-2000 I will eat another meal if I did eat earlier that day or this will be my only meal.

Now, I drink a ton of water or seltzer during the day so I know that’s helping. However I am worried the way I am eating is not helping. If I know when I have to eat and how many calories I should eat I think I could conquer this better.

I have been told that I should eat breakfast when I wake up and then lunch later on and fast until bed. I have also been told as long as I chose a 16:8 timeline that works for me then it doesn’t matter how I do it.

I just want to be effective. I don’t want to binge. It would also be nice to lose weight.

Timing of your eating window doesn’t matter much although it is probably best not to eat too late. A shorter window makes more difference than exactly when you eat.
