Ive started going to the gym in the past week. Going 4 days a week. Doing some cardio but mostly weight lifting to start toning my body and building some muscle as Ive never really worked out before. Is it safe to still do some form of intermittent fasting?
I am newer to fasting but I believe it is safe. I think the most important part is getting electrolytes and listening to your body while working out for safety ofc, like if I am working out (I primarily do strength training) and Im not feeling good I will drink some water take a break and maybe decrease the weight or do a different exercise. you’ll still need to hit you numbers in terms of proteins if you are looking to build muscle. maybe you can position your eating window close to your gym time? the muscle will need protein for recovery and growth.
