Fasting while on meds?

Anyone who take medications have any kind of complications? I take high blood pressure medication among some others, and I was wondering if anyone had any problems. Did you still take your medication while fasting? Did your blood pressure fluctuate heavily? Did it end up correcting itself in a certain period of time? Yes I know I should consult my Dr, but I’m curious about people’s experiences here.

Answer

Talk to your doctor regarding medications - not Reddit.

Every individual is different and fasting without a plan or supervision while on meds - is just begging for trouble.

That being said, my non-medical advice is to monitor, monitor, and monitor your BP on a regular basis. Extended fasting does reduce your BP significantly.

I was on hypertension meds 10 months ago. After IF and EF, the doctor removed me off all meds.

Be safe, be careful and always talk to your doctor.
