Hello all - I’ve done one 5 day fast a few years ago and multiple 3 day ones since but would like to go for a 7 day one starting on Christmas day. For the 5 day one I primarily watched videos around the benefits of fasting and that was helpful. I’ve learned along the way that watching foodtv is definitely NOT helpful. I’m currently living alone and off work that week so any useful distraction is open for discussion! Would love to hear your go-to’s.
I want to do my first extended fast soon as well. But…
Nice long walk at whatever pace you feel comfortable while listening to your favorite comedy podcast seems to be my favorite thing to do while fasting.. also accelerates weight loss if that’s what you’re aiming for.
lol I definitely agree with the sentiment towards food videos. I realized that when, mid-fast, I counted the 236 recipe videos I had accumulated in my YouTube watchlist haha.
I enjoy listening to the Obesity Code podcast to keep me motivated. This last week, I’ve found myself watching YouTube compilation videos of various TikTok gym videos and weight loss transformation videos. Also, my job has us mandated for 12-hour days and 8 hours on Saturdays for the busy Christmas season, so that keeps me busy too lol.
