Do any of you have good “closing” rituals? Something you eat or drink that helps your body through the coming fast and/or signals your (physically or mentally) to stop eating?
I’ve been enjoying some ACV and water lately, it seems to tell my body “we’re done,” but not sure how good it is for me.
I tried ending with a small dessert or sweet. Didn’t work for me. Left my body in a sugar craving state before hitting the fast.
If I want sugar, I’ve found it’s best to have it early in the day, and never the first thing I eat. Now I end the day with dinner. That’s it. Usually a protein and a load of veggies. Much better results and honestly on IF and cutting most sugar my appetite has reduced significantly
Something sweet. I make PB Coconut oil fudge, and usually have a piece of that. I ran out the other day and have been having a sugar free pudding after dinner. It’s ok, but I think I need the fat of the other, I’ve been waking up really hungry and that never happens
For me it’s peanut butter and banana. Depending on how many calories left in my account I’ll have it in oatmeal (~400 calories), on rice cakes (~300 calories), or just PB spread on some banana alone (~200 calories).
