Feel pretty weak and it’s slowing me down at work

Hi everyone! I am on day 5 of a 7 day water fast. I am drinking snake juice for electrolytes and black coffee in the mornings, sometimes a matcha tea in the afternoon.

The last time I did this I got to day 3 and felt super lethargic and weak. When that continued on day 4 I couldn’t take it anymore and I ended my fast early.

Trying it again now, I notice that I didn’t feel the tiredness as soon. On day 4 I felt lethargic again. I checked the wiki here and it mentioned making sure I got my electrolytes/salts in. I had had a couple days of not finishing my snake juice so today (day 5) I made sure to get them all in.

This evening I feel extremely lethargic. I walked across the street earlier and back and it winded me.

I know this is common with fasts but I also hear of getting a surge of energy after the 3/4th day for some people.

Am I doing anything wrong or are my expectations too high? It’s definitely affecting my ability to work and concentrate- and I have a pretty relaxing desk job working from home so I feel that’s saying a lot haha.

Do you monitor your blood sugar before and after the coffee and tea? Do you have keto piss test strips? So you monitor any of this stuff to get a feel if you’re actually in ketosis?

In my experience fasting on snake juice is way easier while exercising like construction work. eventually you will loose your strength and regain it after a month or so due to the keto transformation. As in you established the fat burning mitochondria.
