It might have to do with hydration. I go through the same thing.
This is anecdotal, but whenever I’m deep into my fast, I make sure to drink plenty of water. With no carbs or sugar, water isn’t absorbed as much.
If I feel “cold” or dehydrated, I usually add a dash of salt and some lemon juice into my water. This helps with hydration.
I’ve been getting very cold lately also. I’ve read it may be our metabolism slowing to conserve energy. For me, I’m leaning towards this because I stop eating at 5:30pm and am absolutely freezing from about 8pm until I go to bed. I need to sleep with a heated blanket to fall asleep lol. It’s so odd for me. The other night I had a big take out cheat meal at 8 pm and wasn’t cold at all that night. No heated blanket needed.I 🤷🏻♀️
Maybe feeling cold makes you get up and hunt for food instead of doing nothing, therefore maximizing your survival if you lived like your ancestors.
I’m just speculating :)
I feel very cold too when I fast for multiple days, and have to wear a jacket.
