Feeling weak and tired after breaking 7-day fast

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I ended my 7-day water fast and during the fast I felt quite weak and tired but it was managable. However, yesterday I broke the fast with some bone broth and later on veggie juice and afterwards I had to vomit (possibly due to too much liquids?). Today I ate bone broth again but less than yesterday, some coconut yoghurt and cooked veggies. I still feel weak and I’m quickly tired. I do take electrolytes. I am wondering, when does this improve and is this normal? I’m new to this so I’m a little worried cause I didn’t expect this.

Tips for next fast: Stop taking electrolytes atleast 5-6 hours before breaking of fast. Take 2 vitamin B-pills roughly 30 minutes before your first meal. Break the fast with a very small portion of food - I only eat a very small portion of ham. After an hour you can have a small meal. Chew thoroughly. Avoid carbs, fruit, dairy and leafy vegetables, like salad (surprisingly hard to digest). Preferably cook or fry any vegetables.

I break my fast with the aforementioned ham, and then a small piece of chicken fried with butter/oil, along with fried onion, bell peppers and mushrooms. Works wonderfully, and tastes amazing.

When breaking a fast, carbs is your enemy. Introduce carbs slowly.

Best of luck to you!
