Does anyone have experience with fermented foods and IF?
I make sure to have a couple of servings of fermented foods every day. I’ve been doing this for about 3 years. I break longer fasts with them.
I started eating them when I switched to a plant based diet so they were part of a larger change. Overall my health has improved but I made a lot of changes. The best thing I did for my skin was cutting out alcohol, which I did around the same time.
I have started breaking fast with a couple girls of sauerkraut or a pickle or two. Trying to remember anyway.
Those kinds of foods used to really upset my stomach. But i have no issues with them now.
They are yummy! I like to make my own fermented hot sauces and spicy giardiniera. Usually I have at least one serving of fermented foods per day… whether it’s via kimchi or apple cider vinegar or women’s probiotic pills. I feel like they’re really good for ya! Although if you asked me why, I’d be like, I dunno… they’re just super kewl! It’d be like asking me why I constantly eat spicy peppers or broccoli or mushrooms. They’re just real yum yum (and I like to believe they’re healthy).
