One of the best things you can eat for your gut health! A healthy gut microbiome is linked to regulating mood hormones (making you happier) & better nutrition uptake & improved immune!! I would suggest everyone to start eating their favourite fermented food regularly!

Answer

I’ve been advised to eat fermented foods regularly by my orthomolecular dietician and gynaecologist, who specialise in hormones and PCOS! Even though I like the taste of kefir and kimchi, it’s hard to incorporate because I’m simply not used to it.

I recently got into making my own hot sauce which led me into fermentation. Great benefits to gut health, taste good, & preserves produce longer. You can really ferment almost anything and make it tastier

I normally eat a very low carb/ very high protein diet -usually consume 150-200g protein a day- this can cause some issues when it comes to “being regular” I started drinking hot water with 2 tablespoons of ACV and juice of 1/2 a lemon with hot water every morning which definitely helped a little bit. Then a friend of mine told me to start eating saurkraut, kimchi and drink kombucha more often.Started including a small side of kimchi with every meal and after a few weeks noticed a huge improvement of regularity. Just my anecdotal experience/ evidence with it improving an issue I was having, plus Kimchi is delicious!
