Fiber powder and carbs

I’m coming to have a simple understanding of carbs and fiber. I wonder if doing a fiber powder (drinking) is beneficial and how that would affect eating bad carbs (like Mac and cheese). Would that effectively lower Net Carbs?

I think if you’re trying to hit ketosis this could be problematic but consuming fiber will certainly prevent your blood sugar from spiking as high as it would without the fiber - an underlying mechanism of a number of conditions
