Finally Awake!

So I’ve finally realized the extent of the danger processed foods but especially processed sugars pose us. I’ve been working out a lot for months straight but can’t lose the visceral fat even though my body is looking better than ever in my arms, back and legs.

Can someone link a technique for fasting to lose the visceral fat?

I stuck to a 20/4 intermittent fast for about 2 weeks and lost about 13 pounds. I think most of it was visceral fat as I no longer look pregnant (I’m a guy. Had a pretty gnarly “beer belly”).

I’ve been bad the last couple of weeks but have only gained back a couple of pounds. Gonna try and get back on track asap.

Answer

There was a study in mice that found a diet higher in stearic acid seems to target visceral fat more than subcutaneous fat.

They used purified stearic acid in their experiment; but cocoa butter is about 30% stearic acid.

Stearic acid is a “long chain saturated fatty acid”, of 18 carbons in length. When you eat enough starch to convert it to fat, your body will make palmitic and stearic acid.
