Finished first 48 hour fast, no appetite when breaking the fast

Hey everyone, title pretty much says it all. I decided to incorporate fasting into my regime due to the fact I got some bad blood work results back the other week (bad cholesterol + liver enzymes) and read that fasting can help with these things.

Overall, I definitely thought it was really beneficial and I lost about 5lbs. Going from 188.8-184.2lbs. However, I went to break my fast and noticed I could barely eat anything and didn’t feel that hungry at all. Has anyone else had this happen? And will my appetite return? Thanks!

Answer

Your appetite is gone because you are in keto. You are less hungry.

Also about 50% of the weight loss is water loss, when in keto your body holds way less water. Don’t be discouraged because of that.

My blood work greatly improved when on keto.
