First time going for 3 days

I’ve only done a one day fast before. I’m about 250 lbs and aiming for 120. This morning, about 15 hours in, I’m dealing with stomach acid being painful and nauseating. On here to document the progress and talk with others about their experiences. Also here for motivation and distraction. I do doordash as my job so this should be especially fun 😬

Fasting is possible for all, and can be emotionally intense, especially for the typical person (like myself), who eats for pleasure and attachment and eats excessively and is overweight. There’s value in really training yourself with fasting with daily 16 or 18 hour fasts, then 20-22 hour OMAD fasts, and when you’re feeding to always focus on quality meats, veggies, carbs, all in proper proportion. Doing all this to see how you respond emotionally and how your body responds physically. Getting to know your body and yourself in the process. Then hitting the longer fasts for 2 days, 3, 5, 7, 10, 14, etc. and not even worrying about the weight loss because as you get good at nutrition, healthy eating, and fasting the weight loss comes.Just thoughts coming out of my head, I’m on a longer fast too now, feels great.

The stomach acid thing could be what you had earlier to eat, your hunger signals, who knows. If it goes away and you’re (slowly) sipping on electrolyte drink, it’ll probably be OK.
