First week on OMAD and feeling great with a lot of energy

I’m a newbie and have started OMAD with the occasional 18:6. I can’t help but think fasting really suits me because I’ve had a ton more energy (except the first day when I felt tired and dizzy) and this seems to affect my mental health in a positive way too, because I’ve felt less depressed too. I suppose the former has something to do with elevated cortisol levels but I am particularly curious about the positive effect on my mood. Anyone else experience this? Anyone know what causes it?

Answer

Once you begin fasting you quickly realize how much processed and highly refined foods effect your hormones and mental state. I think stumbling into this has been the best thing to happen to my mental state in the last four years.

After my first month of the Intermittent Fasting lifestyle I went out on a date and got the largest size of a Coldstone Creamery ice cream and I legit got “stoned” from all the sugar. Slightly slurred speech, brain fog, a little less coordinated…like I smoked cannabis.
