Hi, I’m just starting out this fasting thing with the goal of losing weight… trying to do 12pm-7pm. I generally eat pretty healthy/okay, so my question is, what do most people do about the food they eat… do people follow calorie restriction or a special diet? Or do you just eat like normal AND still lose weight?
Some degree of control is probably required. For some it is achieved by keeping meals ‘reasonably sized’, for others it is done by tracking all consumption in an app. Do what feels right to you, basically.
On the flip side, meals need to be somewhat substantial, since tiny meals send a signal to down-regulate metabolic rate.
