Answer

I absolutely feel better after a 4-5 day fast.

It’s a practice of discipline for me too. Actually that’s my primary reason most of the time, to prove to myself that I’ve still got some willpower and help exercise it.

Answer

Autophagy! I want to gain the benefits of my body repairing damaged DNA cells. Even though I don’t know what damaged cells I have specifically, I like the idea of them being repaired🤷‍♀️ or even possibly preventing certain diseases

Answer

Here are some of the benefits: Autophagy, more time in the day not eating, cooking, cleaning the kitchen. Develops mind control and will. It reminds me I can do what I set my mind to. Heightened senses, especially smell.

In a 7 day fast, I don’t even notice a lot of weight loss. My weight fluctuates 3-4 pounds regularly anyway, which is the theoretical amount of a week’s weight loss.

Answer

I do OMAD (technically fasting but not for me really) for practical reasons. 1 meal, so much less preparations/ cleaning, easier to make balanced meal.

Sometimes i do 5-7 days fasts cause i love energy boost and feeling light.

Answer

A customer told me last week she 7-day-fasts to allow the Holy Spirit to speak to her more clearly about big decisions. She emphasized to not make the decision until AFTER the fast is over. During the fast you will be “attacked by Satan”.

Regardless of her bullshit supernatural explanations, I certainly feel “attacked by demons” on the 4th day. Thankfully, I’ve done enough introspection to trace every negative emotion back to the life events and people that caused them. There are no spirits, just memories … and the knowledge that my abusers remain alive and unpunished. And the shame that I will never have the power or courage to change that.

Cheese tricks my belly into feeling like mommy is proud of me.

Answer

Originally I started OMAD to keep my weight consistent and allow me to still eat things I like. BUT the thing I actually enjoy most of all is the energy I get. Afternoons after lunch made work alot harder to deal with and I always felt tired. Now I have around the same amount of energy all day and feel so much better in general.
