Fourth day is the hardest

This is my third prolonged water fast. It seems that many people here find the second or third days are the hardest. But I find that the first three days are a breeze in comparison. Anyone else?

Answer

How long between the fasts?

For me it kinda depends on if I’m doing shorter fasts (24-72 hour) and then trying to do a longer 90 to 180 hour fast, or if I’m coming off doing longer 5 - 7 day fasts and then going back for another long fast

When doing shorter fasts and then going for longer fasts, days 3 and 4 hit me harder, 3 more psychologically, 4 I’m doubting, but eventually the turning point happens and I’m good (usually day 5)

If I’m doing longer fasts like 5 day fast, couple omad’s then going back for another it’s a little harder for me on days 1 and 2 but if I can get to 3 then 4 and 5+ are pretty solid.

TLDR: When I’m doing OMAD or rolling 48/72s, I feel days 1&2 are the easiest and 3&4 would be the hardest

When doing back to back 5-14 day fasts, days 1&2 are usually the toughest (really day 2) and day 3 it gets better, day 4 I feel like I’m good again (easiest day)

Day 5 either way I feel the fasting super powers kick in and I’m good for whatever
