I’ve done 3 to 4 days of water fasting per week along with 2 of those LMNT electrolyte packs per day for the past month and I can’t tell a difference. I aim for 10k steps a day and the scale is only slightly lower than when I started.
I feel like I had better and quicker results when I was not using the LMNT packets. However, the packets completely eliminated all negative side effects that I experienced. It almost feels like they’re knocking me out of my fasting state O_o
I’m still going to keep at it consistently and not let it discourage me from my goals, but can anyone else relate?
Seems like you should look into what you are eating when not fasted. At the end of the day fasting is not a magic bullet. It just helps to reduce the total calories ingested during a week.
If you are creating a 5000 caloric deficit by fasting and then eating a surplus of 2500 over the next few days, you will not lose nearly as much weight
You’ve probably truly lost about 9-15 pounds. That won’t really show if you have a lot to lose. I’m on my 6th rolling 120 and have just started noticing visually the change. It took longer than I thought.the lmnt packets I know have 10 calories though so you could be right about it taking you off autophagy.
Eating too much on your eating days the only explanation. If you disagree because you track calories then you are tracking wrong sorry it’s not the fast it’s you.But if you don’t claim to track calories then here is how it’s happening let’s just hypothetically assume you burn 2,000 a day you fast 3 days a week and leaves you in a deficit of 3-2,000=-6,000cal, then on the 4 days left in the week you eat 4,000cal. This brings your total calories consumption for the week to 4x4,000=16,000 but you add in the cals burned per so 16,000-72000=+2000cal which would leave you in a surplus even with 3 days of fasting. Hope this helps in the future!Edit:Spelling
