From 209 lbs to 202 lbs in 30 days. Realistic?

Hello everyone,

I’ am a 31 year old male and new to this whole intermittentfasting topic. I’ am 6.2 tall, my CW is 209 lbs. I’m doing martial arts two- three times a week for 90-120 minutes.

So i got a few questions for you veterans out there.

I’m doing 16/8 at the moment, since one week and it is really working good. Sometimes i get a bit dizzy in the evening, is that normal? And why is that so?

How much water per day is recommended?
My GW is 194 lbs. Until i get there my interim goal is 202 lbs in 30 days is that realistic?

Thank you in advance for your answers. I’m looking forward to be part of this great community.

Answer

7 lbs is very doable. Not sure about the dizzy spells. I remember getting them the first few times I did pure IF. These days I eat vegies during my “fasting” period as the calories are negligible, but my body still gets some nutrition and I haven’t had dizzy spells since.

Answer

I’m 6’0” tall and I lost 7 lbs per month. I’d advise drinking about 5L of water per day - keeps you full and oddly drinking more water prevents fluid retention, or so I read.

I like using LoseIt to track CICO.

Answer

During my first week of fasting, I felt sick every day but now I guess my body adapted because I can go a whole day without eating and feel fine and energized.

Maybe your body just isn’t used to this change, especially if like me, you had really unhealthy eating habits before fasting.
