Getting back into it?

In October 2020, I weighed 332.0lbs. Through 2MAW (two meals a week), by June 2021 I was down to 205.0lbs and I felt great (127.0lbs lost). But then I fell off the wagon and regained more than half the weight I had lost. I'm back at 276.6lbs and I'm **quite frustrated/disappointed with myself** for regaining 71.6lbs over the course of just 15 months! I just updated my user flair and it made me sad. Part of the problem is that I *really* get the munchies when I use cannabis; but I enjoy using it too much to give it up—it's just how I unwind at the end of a long day. Now I'd really like to get back into it, but I don't feel as motivated as I did in 2020-2021. I'm thinking of kicking this off with a nice long extended fast—maybe two weeks (which is what I had done back in 2020 when I first got started). Even though I've got less weight to lose this time around, I'm finding it *way* more difficult to get motivated. What do you all do to "get back into it"?

Answer

There are a ton of books that I love to read for motivation: courage is calling, atomic habits, complete guide to fasting, I also bought a halo view fitness tracker (80\~ bucks). Doing the full body scan is pretty cool.

Hi I basically did the same thing , lost a decent amount , felt great and then ate like a teenager until I gained 2/3rds back . Went back to fasting last month and so far it’s going well and I’m already almost back to my previous lower weight . One thing I’d say is be cautious setting such a difficult fast as your first one , unless you find fasting really easy you could be setting yourself up to fail. I personally did a week of rolling 24s, two weeks of rolling 36s and then went to anything above 72hrs to end when I’ve had enough ( usually 4/5 days)
