Getting cold during fast, can caffeine help or will it hurt my progress

I’ve been intermittent fasting/omad for almost a year now, and never had issues with feeling cold until I recently lowered my caffeine intake from a few energy drinks and more than one coffee a day to just one coffee when I wake up, and I started getting extremely cold throughout the day, like shivering in 90 degree Texas heat, and after doing some research I learned it’s because when fasting your orexin levels go down which results in you burning fat faster and feeling cold, and caffeine raises your orexin levels which cancels out the cold feeling. I was wondering if consuming caffeine to stop being so cold will also take away the faster fat burning effects or kick me out of the fasting state.

Answer

Nah it’s literally just your body being mad at you for fasting. It helps to move around a bit to force your body to dip into fat stores and warm you back up. I know if I”m deep into fasting and I’m freezing and my heart rate slows, I need to be active (I get REALLY hot if I’m walking around fast).
