Going to sleep hungry.

I have been doing OMAD for at least 6 months and I was usually on 18:6 for a few years prior. My one meal is at dinner time as it is easy for me to not eat during the day but it is very hard for me to fall asleep while hungry. I am very interested in adding 72-120 hour fasts once per month next year but I worry about not being able to have good quality sleep and that would not make longer fasts worth it for me. Do any of you have advice to be prepared for longer fasts?

My goals are to lose weight, boost my immune system and improve energy levels as I am constantly fatigued due to a chronic disease.

We are the same it would seem… I chug a lot of ice water before bed, sometimes a cup of tea is nice depending on how strict I’m going. It’s a mental hurtle but eventually I start sleeping better/more because I can’t stand being hungry and sleep is a great way to ignore it…

I’m genuinely curious to know your OMAD dinner that still makes you feel hungry cos the satiety level on OMAD is insane! But if it still persists then I would first look into the diet and make amends accordingly. Like try to add some more proteins to your meal or have a handful of nuts post meal so it can help you tide over the next day easily. Post that these suggestions are really amazing!
