Went for a 3 month follow up with my doctor after a physical showing HDL 44 & LDL 135 and elevated inflammation levels. In addition to continuing my intermittent fasting, I was told to make a few changes in my diet and add weights to my exercise. I’ve tried to incorporate the changes he asked me to and keep up my fasting. He could tell that I’ve been working hard and noticed my weight loss. He was impressed that I lost weight over the holidays. He is supportive of my intermittent fasting and glad it has helped me have a healthier relationship with food. It is so nice to have a supportive doctor. In a month I’m doing another blood draw to see if my cholesterol numbers are better and if my inflammation numbers are down.
Great job! Also congrats on the December weight loss - I did it as well and it wasn’t as bad as I thought. One day at a time! How long have you been on IF for?
I haven’t had a physical in 2 years and this is now the first time I don’t dread it. On IF for 3 months and curious how the bloodwork will come out.
A side thought - I don’t get why more doctors/nutritionists aren’t recommending IF. It really is a much easier and sustainable way to reduce calorie intake compared to other diets alone.
