Guidance from Women Fasters?

Fasting Update: As of writing, I’ve fasted for 40.5 hours, which is roughly 84% into the 48-hour fasting period. For some reason, this fasting cycle is a lot easier for me to do vs the 36h one I did over the past weekend.

Read up & saw that during/post-ovulation, lots of women have a generally easier time fasting extended periods of time (but they find it harder to fast a few days before their period). This is quite interesting to know cos I think I read about more male fasters than women talking about how their menstrual cycles impact their fasting attempts.

I’m currently assessing if I should refeed (i.e. start eating) after the whole 48h mark which would be around 4:30pm this afternoon or by lunch time (around the 43-44h mark). I don’t feel hungry at all, so I may possibly skip lunch just to see how my body feels when I get a full 48 hours of fasting. To my fellow lady fasters, any thoughts or experiences on this? Hehe

Answer

I did notice that it’s easier for me to fast after my cycle (I seem to have less of an appetite) but to make my cycle easier I’ve had to fast before during the last several months. As for whether to stop or go on, it depends on what your reason is for fasting and jow far from your goal you are.
