Started 9pm after dinner. Made it 3 days…was steady with water and started electrolytes mid day 2, day three started hallucinating sparkles in my vision and glimpses of light very rarely….all day energy fluctuated like crazy ending in groggy feelings, mild nausea…. was aiming for 7 days, and then right when I decided to stop I realized my period was starting HOWEVER the unpleasant experience has not deterred me and I’m motivated to try again in another week!….I’m vegetarian and trying to stay in ketosis to experience with seeing if that helps
EDIT : also difficulty falling asleep + waking up tired, loss of coordination and a lot of mental fog, I started taking an electrolyte blend from whole foods, checked for potassium, magnesium, and sodium….was taking about 3 scoops day 2 and 3
Fasting right before/during your period is the hardest time to go. When cortisol rises, progesterone drops dramatically. One reason for crappy sleep.
Also you sound like you’re experiencing low blood pressure, again hormonal fluctuation can influence blood pressure.
